    • New articles are now matched against every existing group on the same story, not just the most recently touched ones — previously only the last few hours of groups were considered, so any story that kept developing spawned a duplicate group
    • The daily consolidation pass now actively merges groups covering the same story and attaches new developments to the group's existing coverage
    • Existing duplicate groups aren't deleted — they age out through normal 7-day expiry once the fix takes over
    • New toggle on the Feeds page: Disable aggregation — built for announcement/status feeds (hosting notices, tracker signups, server status) whose items have no distinct stories to group
    • Opted-out feeds still fetch on schedule; their articles just stay plain reading-list items instead of collapsing into one endless group on every refresh
    • Default is unchanged: regular news feeds aggregate as before, and switching off leaves existing groups to expire naturally
